Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be actively involved in a variety of assurance engagements, including:
- Performing audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Independently managing engagements from execution through completion
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with applicable standards
- Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns
- Advising and supporting clients based on their needs and the scope of each engagement
- Identifying opportunities to improve working papers and proposing solutions to increase efficiency and optimize engagements
- Supporting the partner on special engagements and other related tasks
- CPA designation obtained or in progress
- Minimum 1–2 years of public accounting experience, primarily in assurance
- Experience working with SMEs and/or NPOs
- Strong knowledge of:
- the full assurance engagement cycle (audit, review, compilation)
- Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS), ASNPO, ASPE, and other applicable standards
- Strong sense of autonomy, attention to detail, and accountability
- Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and client‑service orientation
- Knowledge of CaseWare (or equivalent software)
- Experience with Taxprep and Paradigm
- Functional English proficiency
